The Organization of Human Welfare (OHW) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) and is non-political, not-for-profit, and impartial organization with no bias towards a particular religion, ethnicity, or political belief. It has its own independent legal status and entity. OHW is registered with the Ministry of Economy in Kabul, Afghanistan (Registration No: 1014) and is a member of South West Afghanistan and Baluchistan Agency for Coordination (SWABAC), the coordinating body for NGOs in southern Afghanistan. The Managing Director of OHW also formally represents SWABAC in coordination meetings at the national level.
We are searching for a Laravel developer to build web application for our organization. In this role, you will design and create web application using Laravel framework and PHP, and assist the team in delivering high-quality web application, services, and tools for our organization.
Job Responsibilities
1. Designing, developing, implementing and managing OHW MIS.
2. Testing and evaluating new application.
3. Identifying areas for modification in existing web applications annd subsequently developing these modifications.
4. Writing and implementing efficient code consider best practices while designing, developing like clean coding, commenting, avoiding lot of dependencies, generic programming and etc.
5. Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
6. Developing testing and other quality assurance procedures.
7. Deploying software tools, processes and metrics.
8. Maintaining and upgrading existing system.
9. Ability to work as a team member.
10. Give new ideas for better design, development and maintenance both developed and intended system.
11. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities;
12. Training users.
13. Perform other related duties as required.
Proof of specialized qualifications sufficiency for this position will be:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; At least 2 years working experience in the field of MIS/Information Technology and Management; Experience of working with Government/Aid agencies is desired;
She/he must also have:
Extensive experience in the design, development and implementation of complex and distributed database systems;
Working knowledge of system analysis and design processes.
Knowledge of Cpanel and web servers.
Strong knowledge of web programming languages (PHP, and JS) and web development
Extensive experience in the design, development and implementation of complex database systems (MySQL Database);
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
Must be self-starter with excellent demonstrated teamwork skills
Fluency in Dari, Pushto & English, in speech, writing and comprehension.
