Job Description

Job Summary

The vaccinator is responsible for overall management and provide immunization services for the mobile target group.

 

Job Description

  • Manage cold chain system according to MoPH/NEPI protocols
  • Conducting vaccination activities according to national immunization standards
  • Determines appropriate vaccine type and dose volume appropriate for each client
  • Prepares site and administers IM or IC vaccine per standard protocol
  • Disposes of sharps in appropriate receptacle
  • Documents vaccination on record and immunization card
  • Recognize, respond to, and alert emergency medical personnel of possible post vaccination reactions
  • As vaccine preparer, will pre-fill syringes a few at a time, follow a strict protocol for labeling and handling prefilled syringes and keep supplies stocked
  • Responsible for entering vaccine lot numbers and other required information onto patient’s Immunization Card
  • Counsel and educate patients, the family, and community about immunization and in relevant areas of health
  • Provide weekly and monthly report

Job Requirements

  • MoPH certified vaccinators
  • At least one years’ experience with BPHS and MHT
  • Good communication skills  
  • Demonstrated skills in health project management and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to travel to the targeted location
  • Ability to support provincial team and provide/receive constructive feedback
  • Good communication and counseling skills
