Just for Afghan Capacity and Knowledge (JACK) is an independent, Non-Governmental, Non-Profit, Non-Political and Non-Sectarian Organization working in Afghanistan in the areas of Capacity Building Education and Health with an aim at improving livelihoods and alleviating poverty. The organization is re-registered under the Ministry of Economy with registration number, 316 of January 18, 2006. The organization works in Collaboration with other line Ministries, NGOs, INGOs, and donor community. Our donors are USAID, UN, OCHA and Ministries.
.Participate in the conduction of studies and surveys where appropriate,
2. Ensure proper communication, coordination and harmonization of tools with the different stakeholders involved in health and nutrition activities in the province,
3. Ensure the establishment of nutrition monitoring activities and train health staff in case detection and referral system,
4. Establish Supplementary feeding programs in line with the national guidelines,
5. Enhance technical and nutrition management skills of staff through formal and informal training in conjunction with other coordinators,
6. Train and support JACK health facilities staff and partners in case management of moderate malnutrition in accordance to national guidelines,
7. Assist health facilities staff in the implementation of the referral and surveillance systems,
8. Manage nutrition staff effectively, including appropriate and systemic delegation,
9. Coordinate and support the provincial teams, ensuring that the individuals work effectively together and achieve the program objectives,
10. Supervise overall activities of nutrition teams with particular emphasis on the screening activities of acute malnourished children,
11. Attend nutrition cluster meetings as needed,
12. Attend nutrition coordination meetings at different levels,
13. Represent JACK’s nutrition work to local stakeholders, the MoPH, international donors, UN agencies and NGOs as required,
14. Conduct analysis of nutrition screening data, compile reports and share reports; both with the MOPH and with agencies within existing coordination mechanism,
15. Study the nutrition condition of the women and children in the target areas and recommend fort expansion of supplementary feeding program if required,
16. Submit relevant reports of activities to relevant line manager,
17. To carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned.
