Job Description

..Main Responsibilities:

Manage and operate general surgery cases including CS and emergencies
Counsel and educate patients in relevant areas of illnesses
Visit the recovery ward and IPD patients
Obtain specialized assistance as necessary
Night duties (15 days/ month)
Supervise and follow up nursing care of patients
Provide consultation in case of needs for patients who are candidates for sugary, based on the request of other wards.
Share knowledge, skill, and expertise with medical, midwifery, and nursing students and all professional staff concerning their job requirements
Participate in research, professional organization, and related committees and in continuing education opportunities
Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiative; safety, environmental, and infection prevention standards
Participate in the provision of 24-hour, six-day maternity service, which may require evening, night
Supervise and monitor all maternity activities in the Hospital
Identify and report immediately any problem which interferes in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives to his/her immediate supervisor
Participate in PH weekly meetings.

Job Requirements

Graduated from a recognized university as a Medical Doctor
Having of MoPH specialization certificate
At least five years of experience in surgery
Good communication skills (written & spoken) of Pashto, Dari, and basic English will be advantage
Basic computer knowledge is an advantage
Able to work independently and under stressful conditions
