Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support Emergency Response Deputy on budget management and budget follow up.
  • Insure the process of documents/ cash distribution documents  
  • Staffs’ salary payroll should be prepared on monthly basis and shared with finance department.
  • Updating the emergency distribution tracker
  • Ensure beneficiary information is always protected and train staff on how to properly keep data secured and confidential.
  • Update weekly program data and indicator tracking table with field teams to inform projects’ progress.
  • Ensure all hard copy of distribution documents are transferred into our online filing system.

Reporting:

  • Programs spending plan and staffs’ salary payroll should be updated on monthly basis and share the projection with finance department.
  • Submit program data and indicator tracking updates for donor reports or other external reports as required. 
  • Compile, edit, and write quantitative program reports using assigned templates, including collating reports from field staff and producing final information products.
  • Ensure program reports are compiled and submitted on time to grant department.

General Administration:

  • Support with the preparation and organization of training, workshops, and other events
  • Monitor the progress of projects’ work plans, procurement tracking, and monthly spending (budget follow-up).
  • Work with the Deputy ER Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of activities and support one another.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in information management and business administration or relevant studies; in addition to at least 3 years of experience emergency or management.
  • Experience working with a NGO and knowledge of humanitarian programming preferred.
  • Good project management skills, including budget monitoring, management/analysis of data, and report writing.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office package (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Good coordination and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Strong communication skills: fluency in Dari, Pashto, and English required
  • Ability to cope with stress, work under difficult circumstances, and meet deadlines

Flexibility to work outside the normal hours of operation and relocate for short periods of time as needed (20% travel expected).
