About Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO):

YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions.

 

Job Description

Overall Responsibility: Conduct community visit, outreach sessions and public awareness activities related to adolescents and youth in target provinces.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and perform public awareness programs and organize awareness raising workshops.
  • Design and distribute brochures, pamphlets and handouts in communities.
  • Conduct a regular follow up of cases of violence against adolescents and youth registered with the center.
  • Engage in conducting outreach session to the target communities.
  • Engage in identification of vulnerable young people for the livelihood programs.
  • Keep daily record in a confidential and safe manner
  • Prepare daily and monthly report for direct supervisor
  • Ensure high quality of social services within overall project
  • Perform any other tasks in line with the job description and assigned by direct supervisor
 

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • University degree in social work, psychology or sociology
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in social work
  • Experience of working on children issues
  • Good knowledge about adolescents and children’s social work and AY development programs. 
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills 
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in Pashto, Dari and English language
  • Able to provide reports within due deadlines
