Our projects focus on a combination of education, child protection and livelihood support to address the social, economic, and structural issues that underpin today’s education crisis. We partner with local organisations and communities to deliver our locally rooted programmes, using evidence to drive learning and the refinement and scale up of programmes to create maximum impact for the most children at the lowest cost. Since 2008 we have helped over 500,000 children to go to school and learn and supported over 33,000 caregivers to set up businesses so they can afford the cost of educating their children.
This role will be responsible to ensure adherence with CiC – Street Child policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines, prepare and develop status reports as required by managemet and will operate as social worker in child protection project.
Generic Responsibilities:

Able to represent Street Child appropriately both internally and externally
Carry out all reasonable requests that are within the broad remit of the role.
Specific Responsibilities:
Conduct awareness sessions for the communities.
Vulnerable households’ assessment and identification.
Coordination meetings with the community elders and awareness sessions.
To further develop good working relationships with specified communities, management staff, government departments (CPAN members, community elders, children’s parents and vulnerable children and HHs.
To protection risks observation and monitoring, awareness raising based on CiC's case management protocols and food security cluster standards.
To conduct awareness raising with communities.
To collect data, statistics and information requested by the Provincial project coordinator.
Report to the Project Manager and Provincial project coordinator on daily and weekly basis.
Responding to child protection issues.
Keep records of any visits, phone calls or emails received from other project staff and community workers requesting support.
Attend at all meetings arranged by the Project Manager.
Ensure that all activities are implemented according to the activity plan and in line with the project objectives.
Facilitate workshops, meetings and any other programs according to the need of project.
Any other relevant tasks given by the line manager.
Experience and Knowledge:
Bachelors' Degree in Social Science, law and political science, Psychology and any other relevant field.
At least 2 years experience of Project Management within an international or national NGO.
Skills and Abilities:
Proven knowledge and experience of Child protection.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and capacity to deal with different rural communities.
ability to take initiatives, and pursue work proactively without being intensively supervised.
A flexible approach to working and willingness to work as part of a team.
