The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) has a zero tolerance of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) both within the organization and of beneficiaries. Prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is the individual and collective responsibility of all NAC officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers, who are all required to familiarize themselves with, agree to, and act in accordance with NAC’s Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy, at all times – both during and outside working hours – and participate actively in introductory and refresher trainings. Any breaches of PSEAH clauses in NAC’s policies, guidelines, and/or commitments will lead to immediate termination and possible legal actions.

Job Description

  • The Trainer should accept and respect the NAC’s internal roles and policies
  • Providing the students with all necessary documents 
  • Providing a teaching plan for good implementation of the programs in the think lab
  • Preparing and using updated teaching materials
  • Using Participatory Teaching Methods to better teach students English/ computer
  • Checking students’ homework on time
  • Filling system from all achievements of the program
  • Keeping and providing a complete record of the related activities in the class
  • Assist the M&E unit in collecting data from the THINK Lab
  • Preparation of THINK Lab reports Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and timely submission to the education section.
  • Assist the Education team in the preparation of financial and logistical documents for Think Lab-related activities
  • Reporting THINK LAB needed materials to the Education team before the 16th of each month
  • The Trainer might be asked to represent NAC together with other colleagues in any type of meetings
  • The Trainer will assist the rest of the team in providing inputs to the Education team for the planning stages.
  • To be on-time in the class
  • Any other tasks are given by the line supervisor.  

Job Requirements

Language requirements, if any:

Should be fluent in English, Pashto, and Dari.

Qualifications Required:

  • Satisfactory English and Computer knowledge; teaching level
  • Bachelor’s degree in English Literature or Computer Science.
  • Two years experience as english and computer trainer with a daignosed entity. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify gaps in skills.
  • Knowledge of various teaching methods and approaches.

Work Experience:

  • At least two years of teaching English/ computer experience.

Skills:

  • Computer skills (Windows, word, excel, Software, Hardware, internet)
  • Familiar with different Methods of English teaching
  • Good communication skills
  • Good team player
  • Creative 
  • Having good behavior.
  • Facilitation skills
