JOB SUMMARY:
CARE International in Afghanistan is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Officer position, to be stationed in Paktya, for the FAO project aimed at supporting food security and livelihood interventions in the province. Reporting directly to the Field Supervisor, the Senior Project Officer will oversee the coordination and execution of the FAO project, focusing on agricultural and livestock initiatives, cash-for-work programs, and the construction of community assets. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities adhere to CARE and donor quality standards, while also meeting contractual obligations to the donors. Additionally, the Senior Project Officer will be tasked with coordinating and monitoring project operations carried out by CARE field staff within the designated areas of intervention.

EDUCATION: University graduate in Business Agriculture Faculty
WORK EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years working experience in the same or similar working experience with national and/or International organizations.
SKILLS: Training, Facilitation, Report writting,
Management, Reporting, and Computer Office package Skills, Communication and Coordination
LANGUAGES: Very good in written and spoken Pashto/Dari and English languages.
TRAITS: Enthusiasm for the job, good understanding of Food Security, Livelihood Agriculture and Livestock
