Afghan Paramount Welfare and Development Organization (APWDO) is a national non-governmental not-for-profit organization, established in 2008 by Afghans and registered, in 2010, with Afghanistan Ministry of Economy (MoEc). The core of our organizational philosophy, at APWDO, is to provide humanitarian support, to the vulnerable communities of Afghanistan, based on the principles of UDHR and the socio-cultural values of our country and to provide innovative, socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable human development solutions through research, dialogue, networking, partnerships, and solutions exchange. The Senior Programme Officer (Agricultural Development) is an important position within APWDO. The incumbent will lead the programme design, development, planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, and reporting functions of the organization. The incumbent will also serve as the lead person for the design, implementation and overall oversight of the projects developed by and/or implemented on behalf of donors.
The incumbent will also serve as the lead for all business development, communication and partnerships building functions of the organization. The incumbent will help develop business development, program management, communication and strategic management frameworks, strategies and systems aimed at organizational growth, productivity, effectiveness and sustainability.

Required Educational Background and Work Experience for the post
The incumbent MUST have a Master’s Degree in Agriculture (preferably horticulture) from a credible institution, with at least five to seven years of progressive experience with international organizations in the relevant field. Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with eight to ten years of experience will also be considered for short-listing.
