Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

Risk assessment of regional offices and providing appropriate security plans for them
Regularly assess regional office communications needs ensure availability of appropriate communications technology; orient all staff to emergency communication procedures and technology; test the emergency communication system regularly analyze results and make appropriate revisions: maintain an updated emergency communication contact list.
Establish a methodology for monitoring and reporting security information that affect WFP project information.
Assist Security Manager by collecting security-related information and verify the accuracy of information with Afghan security services when major security incidents are reported.
Incident reporting as per IDSH SOP
Process security clearances for regional/area travel/movement coordinate and track local teams’ movement.
Disseminate up-to-date Security Situation briefs to all staff as required.
Conduct routine security surveys of office and residential areas and premises when directed.
Review and update security-briefing materials quarterly and ensure that all new employees receive appropriate security orientation on the first day of employment/arrival.
Prepare and provide weekly security briefing for monitors/field team.
Write weekly security updates to WFP country office.
Process Security Clearances for Regional/Area travel/movement Coordinate and track local staff/vehicle movement.
Travel regularly to the field to conduct security risk assessment
Monitor security situation in project areas and provide advice to travelling staff in the field regarding restricted/high risks /”no go” areas.
Supervise regular tasks and schedules for security guards and drivers.
Assist to provide security advisories when and ever situation requires ex. When security tension raises in the areas of operation
Perform any other assignment by immediate line manager.

Job Requirements

Education:

High School Graduate – University Degree will be preferred.
Good command of English Language in report writing and translation.

Experience:

3-5 years of relevant experience in security/risk management with national & international organizations.
Good knowledge of using google map and familiarity with provinces and districts.
Experienced and knowledgeable in security/safety-related subjects threat/risk assessment security management and personal and organizational security awareness.
Proven experience of working effectively in complex security environments.
Ability to use computer and should be well familiar with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Fluency in English, Dari and Pashto with skill of report writing in English.
Tactfulness enthusiasm to the job. Good human relation skills integrity and good communication.
