PU-AMI (known globally as Première Urgence Internationale, PUI) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-religious international aid organization. PU-AMI’s teams are committed to support vulnerable communities and populations, those marginalized, hit by conflict, natural disaster or economic downturns. PU-AMI’s main objective is to contribute to reduction in morbidity and mortality, and provide emergency relief to those in immediate need in order to help them regain their dignity.
Afghan mission is the oldest of PUI missions, with the first medical intervention launched in 1979 just after the Soviet troops crossed the country’s borders. PU-AMI teams currently deliver the integrated health care, combined with nutrition, psychosocial support; water, sanitation and hygiene (wash), as well as trauma services. The organization implements projects mainly in eastern parts of the country, and increasingly in the South-East Region. Since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, PU-AMI has also positioned itself as one of the main actors in preparedness and response to the pandemic, implementing health and wash-cantered activities at health facilities and community level in Kabul and beyond.
Globally, PUI provides assistance to around 6 million people in 23 countries and across 5 continents: Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America, and Europe.
Responsibilities and particular assignmentsمسؤلیت ها و وظایف مشخص
General responsibilities:
• To ensure the safety of all PU-AMI belongings (inside or outside the compound if relevant).
• To ensure that the premises are kept secure at all times.
• To refer to PU-AMI. Expatriates if anybody non-authorized (unknown persons) wishes to enter in the compound.
• To regularly make a check round inside and outside the compound, checking doors and PU-AMI belongings.
• To report any security incidents or irregularities to the office security in charge.
• To ensure that only authorized personnel are permitted entry into the PU-AMI premises.
Specific rules and activities to be followed:
• The employee has to take care of all office and guest house safety and security procedures.
• The employee is responsible of the good use of generators.
• All visitors must be duly registered when coming in the base (registration in visitors’ book + PU-AMI card).
• The Guards should make sure before letting the visitor in, that he is expected by any PU-AMI staff.
• The Guards must check the all-transportations entry into the compounds properly to make sure safe movements allowed.
• The guard must not allow any entry into the compound.
• You must advise your direct supervisor of any possible safety threats that can hamper PU-AMI activities. To make sure the premises and buildings are cleaned regularly.
• As per your contract, you must be flexible and can work either in PU- AMI base or in GH; either on day or night duties or if sending you for field trip to any of working provinces in the country.
• Expatriates privacy has to be scrupulously respected; private areas of the Guest House are Expatriates places where the employee should not enter if he is not invited to do so.
