Job Description

Position Summary:

The Researcher will assist with the collection of data, including conducting interviews and identifying potential respondents, as well as assist with data examination as needed for the assessment of civil society capacity and gender in Afghanistan under the oversight of the AMELA technical team and the direction of the Team Lead (TL). This is an STTA position with an anticipated level of effort of up to 40 days.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data collection, including conducting key informant interviews, and group discussions.
  • Analyze collected data.
  • Assist the TL with drafting deliverables and systematic products as required from USAID.
  • Participate in presentations if needed.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant social science field is required.
  • Minimum three years of experience conducting research in the social science field is required.
  • Experience in civil society and gender studies research.
  • Experience living and working in Afghanistan is preferred.
  • Fluency in English, Pashtu, and/or Dari is required.
