Job Description

Position Summary:

The Researcher will play an essential role in collecting data and analyzing the assessment report under the direction of the Chief of the Party (COP), the Permanent Deputy Evaluation Lead, and the Team Lead. The estimated level of effort for this position is up to 30 days.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and advise the AMELA full time staff as needed during the coordination and engagement phase prior to data collection.
  • Participate in training and testing of data collection tools in preparation for data collection.
  • Conduct key informant interviews and/or administer surveys.
  • Assist the team in analyzing collected data.
  • Advise on the final report as needed. 
 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field is required.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a relevant field is required.
  • Experience and expertise in various forms of evaluation and qualitative data collection.
  • Experience with agriculture value chains, livelihood/job creation, and economic growth in the development sector is highly desired.
  • Written and oral communication skills in English required.
