About Women’s Activities and Social Services Association (WASSA)

About (WASSA):

The Women’s Activities and Social Services Association (WASSA) was established in 2002 as Afghanistan's first women’s independent organization. WASSA aims to promote the women’s equal participation in socio-economic sectors and support the current humanitarian crisis by providing emergency humanitarian and livelihood assistance to vulnerable households, especially women.

To support WASSA’s vision and mission, some potential candidates are needed to be recruited for a project funded by UN Women to strengthen women’s livelihoods through increased access to skills and resources. The project will be implemented in three districts of Herat Province for a period of 15 months.

Job Description

  1. Analyze and synthesize data;
  2. Produce weekly, monthly, Situation Reports, quarterly indicator reports, annual reports, and other narrative reports as assigned by the relevant project;
  3. Create infographics, interactive maps, PPT, and other communication material as needed;
  4. Overseeing reporting and data quality on Activity Info in an accurate and timely manner;
  5. Monitor and ensure accuracy of data collection;
  6. Provide daily reporting;
  7. Support the implementation and improvement of monitoring and evaluation tools and frameworks;
  8. Translate reports and project documents from Dari to English and from English to Dari
  9. Coordinates weekly report outputs, highlights, and success stories and provides substantial inputs to the Program team in writing quarterly reports and donor updates;
  10. Provide regular mentorship and guidance to field staff to ensure quality reporting;
  11. Maintain all the documents and filing system
  12. Stay overtime when required;
  13. Perform any other needed duties as directed by supervisors.
 

Job Requirements

  1. Advanced degree in Communication, Economy, Journalism, or related areas;
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in Reporting and Data Analysis;
  3. Excellent fluency in written English is required.
  4. Proven writing and design skills and ability to present information clearly and concisely through visual data analysis;
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  6. Excellent organizational skills and ability to deliver reports according to strict donor requirements;
  7. Excellent IT skills;
  8. Knowledge of report writing software such as KOBO and HUB reporting tools is required;
  9. Proactive, motivated, innovative, and adaptable individual, who can take initiative;
  10. Ability to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines;
  11. Ability to travel to the field if needed.
