Job Description

This position is depends on grand approval  by IMC Roster

SCOPE OF WORK:

 

The Quality Assurance Officer (M.D) works in the Kod-e-barq 50 beds Hospital of Balkh. He/She is responsible for quality services at mentioned hospital.

 

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:

 

The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for carrying the following activities and not limit to:

  • To train hospital staff in quality assurance.
  • To assess need of hospital staff for medical equipment and take part in procurement.
  • To visit different departments of the hospital and record application of quality assurance standards.
  • Check the quality of services provided through hospital team.
  • Provide on the job training to the staff in quality and other aspects of good health care
  • To follow the implementation of Strengthening vulnerable peoples’ right to health, with particular focus on reproductive health rights by improving access to quality health service project
  • To supervise hospital`s staff for quality services and strong linkage with community.
  • Ensure quality manpower in Hospital through conducting standard trainings.
  • Ensure collaboration and coordination with PHOs and DHOs as joint supervision.
  • Participate in surveys, evaluations and reviews of the project and BPHS.
  • The action plan monthly, quarterly and yearly accordance with the work plan for achieving the goals of the plan.
  • Monitoring the implementation of the twelve criteria for self-assessment in relation to quality improvement and accreditation.
  • Preparing and monitoring the implementation of routing documents (Tracking Document) in standard formats sent by the president of quality improvement at an enterprise level.
  • Efforts to improve the quality of the establishment and oversight of the process of self-evaluation.
  • interpret and implement quality assurance standards
  • evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards
  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
  • review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
  • collect and compile statistical quality data
  • prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
  • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
  • evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Development and implementation of innovations and new applications that will result in better quality.
  • Links to other parts of the effective implementation of measures to improve the quality and credibility of the University.
  • Advise the director of hospital for the Establishment of effective mechanisms and procedures to improve the quality of the hospital.
  • Cooperation in conferences, training workshops, and seminars on quality improvement program University.
  • Working with the team headed by improving the quality review in accordance with the timetable previously submitted.
  • Carry out other duties related to the task assigned by the administration.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduated from recognized medical university as Medical Doctor.
  • At least 2 – 3 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience with government or NGOs/INGOs.
  • Communication skills and strong local language correspondence skills. Particularly in fluency in English, Dari and Pashtu speaking /writing skills are required. 
  • Ability to write logical, clear and concise reports.
