About Razi Social Development Organization (RSDO)

  • Introduction to RSDO

Razi Social Development Organization- RSDO is an Afghan NGO founded on April 11, 2008, and registered with the Ministry of Economy in Afghanistan. It was established in Herat city but then set up sub-offices in Ghor and Daykundi provinces by delivering social development services to vulnerable and marginalized people in remote communities.

  • RSDO’s Background

RSDO firstly initiated the primary activities in 2002 under the name of “Abu Hanifeh Orphan High School”, assisting orphan children who lost their parents and families during the long-lasting war in Afghanistan to learn and build their future. Later on, with the financial support of the Japan Embassy, it has constructed a high school building for orphans and expanded the activities of orphans with the support of HELP Germany as well. Throughout years of hard work, RSDO slowly developed and now has functioning offices in all west zone provinces of Afghanistan with more than 200 staff.

  • RSDO’s mandate

RSDO’s mandate is delivering humanitarian assistance to vulnerable households in the west zone provinces of Afghanistan through the financial support of the UN and International Organizations.

RSDO's Mission

RSDO dedicated all efforts to contribute in none violent, developed, and prosperous Afghanistan where both men and women live and respect each other through running services in the sector of women empowerment, education, agriculture, capacity building, and livelihood.

RSDO's Vision:

RSDO’s vision is an Afghanistan without illiteracy. We envision that that all Afghan children (girls and boys have easy access to high-quality education that affect their lives and provide the means of development

Job Description

1: GENERAL Responsibilities:

Providing psychosocial counseling services is to the patients /clients in the assigned Health Facility in individuals according to professional standards by diagnosis of psychosocial problem and proper treatments.

2: Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Offer individual psychosocial counselling to the patients/clients in the related health facilities.
  • Proactive awareness-raising and psycho-education for the patients/clients of the health facility.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance to the ethical criteria of the psychosocial counselling.
  • Record all the information on the clients in the registration sheet and compile client files on a daily basis.
  • Daily registration of the cases in the Documentation book according to the guidelines.
  • Daily writing-up of the cases using the Documentation-sheets.
  • Documentation of the clients and their work (Client registration and psychosocial counseling sessions).
  • Preparing monthly quarterly and annual based reports to the related unit.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by project manager.
  • Conducting Awareness programs for communities.

 3: Communication:

  • Ensure proper communication with Project Manager
  • Ensure proper communication with the relevant government organization.

4: Project Orders:

  • Ensure Project Manager about the project progress.
  • Reporting the progress of the activities to the Project Manager

5: Additional Tasks:

  • To carry out any additional tasks as requested.

6: Meetings:

  • Attending the monthly general staff meeting of the organization.
  • Attending to any meeting requested by the Project Manager
 

Job Requirements

1: Bachelor degree in Psychology or related field.

2: At least 2 years of experience in psychosocial area.

3: Having knowledge of languages (Dari, Pashto and English)

4: Familiar with computer programs (MS-Windows)

5: Strong in Plan and report writing.

6: Observing organizational rules.
