YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions.
Provision of psychosocial counselling sessions include (Individual sessions, Group sessions, Support Groups and Psychoeducation) for the children who are at risk of human trafficking and abuses.
Provide direct support and case management for the survivors of human trafficking and abused children.
Closure of the cases. Developing action plan & intervention plan for clients.
Organize training sessions on stress management and other essential topics (PFA, Basic Counselling, Skills of Communications…) for the shelter staff.
Keep daily records in the confidential and safe manner.
Prepare assessment tools for the psychosocial needs of clients
Elicits trauma related histories according to presenting symptoms.
Work with supervisor in planning and implementing activities related to psychosocial counselling and services including CFS, play therapy sessions and Supportive activities.
Working in a team and ensure that problems are identified in the initial stages and solved those amicably.
Attending all relevant meetings requested by supervisor relevant to the project goals.Manage cases in line with the SOPs, adhere to standard documentation processes and follow best practice guidance Prepare monthly reports covering all aspect of psychosocial counselling and services and submit them at the end of each month. Referral of patients for specialized services on need basis as per YHDO policy. Assist in other duties requested by the supervisor.
