The Provincial Business and Market Development Coordinator is responsible for overall development, management and supervision of the project activities in the target province and reporting directly to project manager. She will provide direction and leadership to project staff and trainees toward growth and daily management.
Ensure all training to be conducted by the BRAC staffs for members, initiate staffs' capacity development, conducting sample basis monitoring of the project, supervise the fellow colleagues at their works, ensure the quality of assigned activities as defined in implementation plan.
• Supervise the provincial team to conduct a need analysis and market assessment to identify relevant trades or occupations that are in demand among target groups concerning women in the community.
• Supports the team during the selection of participants, prioritizing the innovative women and business ideas and current women entrepreneurs.
• Prepare reports and submit to the BRAC country office and Project Manager on periodic basis
• Ensure sound financial management, minimize and mitigate risks and ensure timely procurement and process-oriented procurements as per BRAC procurement policy and guidelines
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
• Prepare monthly action plan to carry out the program activities according to the approved annual work plan.
• Ensure regular coordination with M&E officers to find out the gap /deviation for on time correction and decision in order to achieve project objective successfully
• Any other duties as may be assigned by Project Manager and country office of BRAC Afghanistan.
• Good communication skills particularly in local language (Dari/Pashtu)
• Speaking and writing ability in English
• Good knowledge in current women markets and current market demands.
• Computer knowledge and skill
• Skill on result-based work plan (using logical framework) on strategy including budget related issues
• Ensure reports and other reports from concerned supervisor with qualitative and quantitative information
• Knowledge on materials development
• Coordination skill with Govt. officials, and local elected bodies, NGO’s, project experts and concern community members
• Fluency in Dari, Pashto
• At least 3-5 years working experience in business development sector, livelihood, development or training in reputed national or international organizations
• Skill in project planning, implementing and budget and financial management
• Computer knowledge on MS Office, MS Excel and Power Point, E-mail in internet browsing
• Has strong team management skill
• Has knowledge on community mobilization activities
• Proficiency in both written and spoken in English.
