About Technical Education and Skills Training Organization

The Technical Education & Skills Training Organization (TEST) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization dedicated to the welfare and progress of Afghan people residing inside and outside of the country, with a primary focus on the empowerment of women, widows, orphans and young girls. The TEST operates programs in the areas of health education, income generation, agricultural training, vocational Skills training, capacity building, relief distribution, and risk assessments. Founded on the 25th of February, 2010 TEST is one of the best Afghan NGOs working in Afghanistan and the largest Afghan non-governmental organization.

Job Description

The Proposal Writer will work directly with and under the direction of the Director and Program Head and will be responsible for providing proposal writing and report writing support.

  • Prepare project proposal in response to the RFPs, RFAs, and    Expression of Interests.
  • Prepare both financial and technical proposals.
  • Analyze and develop concept notes for Projects. Develop project documents, reports, and any other papers
  • Search the market regularly for potential opportunities.
  • Search and contact donors that are providing funds in the core areas of AidTrends
  • Take initiatives for fundraisings.
  • Conduct meetings with donors for fundraising.
  • Develop required documents, processes, policies, and procedures required for funding by donors.
  •  Liaising: Establishing relationships with donors; embassies, the international community, NGOs, and INGOs at the national level in Afghanistan.
  • Provide the necessary information regarding programs, funding status, reporting time, and proposal development.
  • Leading & Organizing: To motivate staff to build positive attitudes regarding their responsibilities and the objectives of the team & promote Company Policies and Procedures among all project personnel and ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with them. And, establish projects and organizational structure in order to manage the work and resources effectively.

·       Advise program and project staff on issues relating to donor compliance

Job Requirements

  • At least bachelor of business administration/ social sciences,  or equivalent, MA preferable, and  Fluency in English.
  • four to six years of work experience within international or local NGOs or other relevant organizations on proposal writing and organizational capacity building.
  •  A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in similar positions.
  • ·Ability to conceptualize, design, and plan for projects and to prepare reports and proposals.
  • ·Able to manage and plan the work effectively and meet deadlines.
  • ·Ability to establish working relationships with the government and non-government organizations and effective outreach and networking
  •  Ability to build close working relationships and trust with the program team.
  • Ability to build strong lines of communication with stakeholders and within the team;
