KEY Functions

The Field supervisor is responsible to participate and assist provincial manager, and the ABADEI project management team in preparation of provincial and district level operation plans. S/he is responsible to implement plan for technically supporting the target health facilities, monitor capacity build activities and provide technical support to ABADEI project in different stages like implementation, supportive supervision, projects status report preparation etc.), and ensures that project is implemented according to agreed project work plan, indicators and targets reflected in technical proposal.

Key Relations

 

  • Report to provincial manager
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders including PPHD, BPHS implementing agencies in ensuring smooth continuation the BPHS services and proper coordination of the ABADEI project interventions.
  • Actively contribute to Project Team Meetings, to ensure that the project interventions are implemented in effective and efficient manner and the project goal and objectives are met

 

 

KEY RESULT EXPECTED

  • Responsible to support ABADEI project in terms of supportive supervision, maintain working coordination, data/updates sharing and developing/preparing requisition as per project need.
  • Supervising the health facilities being supported under the ABADEI project in terms of services delivery, supply availability and quality insurance.
  • Coordinate the project activities with local PPHD, communities and related stakeholders at provincial level
  • Conduct/organize capacity building sessions training to target medical personnel on COVID-19 response/preventive measures, primary and sexual reproductive health and gender/family welfare interventions.
  • Supervise the health facilities renovation, upgrade and technical support interventions.
  • Maintain internal control of project activities at provincial level.
  • Maintain close working coordination with all concerned provincial and community level stakeholders and relevant departments to ensure project assets and staff safety.

Job Requirements

  • Effective technical and social mobilization skills, innovative thinking. Computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel), monitoring and excellent supervision and coordination skills.
  • Promote best practices/ lessons-learned approaches with the support/active participation of local communities during project implementation
  • Encourage the community for projects’ post-completion maintenance.

Skills and Experience:

  • Enough understanding/ knowledge of the community health services
  • Good communication & coordination skills
  • Management skill (Monitoring, supervision& reporting)
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills
  • Having a deep knowledge of Afghan traditions and cultural norms
  • Ability and willingness to work at the communities with frequent field visits
  • Excellent spoken /written Dari and Pushto
  • Ability to review and monitor activity and record outcomes and learning
  • Fluency in spoken and written Dari, Pashtu and English is Highly Desirable.

Education and working experience

University degree in Public Health, Medical doctor, Master degree in public health will be a plus.

Languages Skills:

Fluency in spoken and written Dari, Pashtu and English is Highly Desirable.
and written Dari and Pashtu is a requirement. English Language skills is a plus point
