Position Summary:
The Project Manager provides strategic professional leadership and technical policy inputs to the RI provincial team to strengthen the BPHS/EPHS and other supporting/vertical projects relevant activities in the Nimruz province.
He/she will provide technical support to the RI provincial office to effectively plan, report, coordinate, and facilitate to implementation of the relevant programs and activities at the provincial level.
The Project Manager will guide the coordination of existing resources at the provincial level. He/she will facilitate and guide advocacy for RI-relevant project implementation with PPHD, PPHOs, and other partners and will ensure regular monitoring and evaluation activities for the provision of quality services/ activities at the provincial level.

Preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly action plans and progressive reports according to the BPHS/EPHS work plans and ensuring the timely implementation
The Project Manager is a member of the project management team and is responsible for the technical, Finance, Administration / HR, and Logistics aspects related to the implementation of the project in Paktia province.
Assist program line managers and supervisors in the planning and implementing of the program.
Responsible for the planning, implementation, and supervision of all project work plans and activities.
Monitor and supervise the progress of program activities in the province.
Preparation and follow-up of the project budget line
Develop and submit project progress, technical and financial (weekly, monthly, and quarterly), and other reports as per project requirements.
Liaise with partners (governmental and non-governmental), and participate in all coordination meetings with UN, NGOs, and government agencies.
Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual project activity plans, allocate required funds for activities as per the endorsed budget, and keep track of expenses against the allocated budget.
Lead the different sections/departments of the project and provide technical support.
Follow organization-established policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiative works/ performance.
Provide regular supportive supervision to BPHS and any other vertical project in the province.
Identify and decide to solve immediately any problem that interferes with the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives and provide a report to his/her immediate supervisor.
Meet all Officers to discuss program progress and problems on a weekly base.
Work closely with technical and Deputy Admin/finance managers in the development of the program.
Assist technical and Deputy Admin/ finance managers in the planning and implementation of the program.
Evaluate and supervise the performance of the project staff
Perform any other task as assigned by the HER-Program Manager /technical Health Specialist and deputy country director.
Be able to travel to all districts/health facilities as well as outside of the province
