The P&O workshop Technician of Prosthetics and Orthotics works within the overall structure of Handicap International (HI), he/she is bound by the Terms and conditions of engagement for national staff and by the Internal Regulation.
The Technician of Prosthetics and Orthotics is responsible for productions and repairs of Prosthetics and Orthotics, mobility aids and take measurement for all type mobility aids devices.
The Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Responsibilities as a trainee
1. To participate in any internal and external trainings required and requested by the P&O Supervisor to provide on job training to other technicians/technician assistant when required
2. To train the patients and/or family how to use and maintain the devices
Other Responsibilities:
1. To share information and exchange ideas with other Technicians and Technician Assistants
3. To help other departments in the production when required in the consultation of P&O Supervisor To be responsible of cleaning his work place and machinery at the end of each day
4. To participate in weekly or monthly meetings
5. To keep a good relationship with the team
6. To attend HI meetings on request
7. Any other tasks not mentioned in the terms of reference and based on the requisition/ requirements of the project should be fulfilled by the employee when requested by the PRC P&O Supervisor and/or Project Manager.
