Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability. Verify accuracy of patient information.
  • Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.
  • Communicate detailed medical information to patients or family members. Advise patients on effects of health conditions or treatments.
  • Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, inventories and prescription slips. Maintain medical facility records.
  • Assess the identity, strength, or purity of medications.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment. Advise medical personnel regarding healthcare issues.
  • Order pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies, or drugs, maintaining stock and storing and handling it properly.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies or equipment. Assist in process of ordering medical supplies or equipment.
  • Maintaining records for controlled substances; removing expired and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
  • Receives all goods delivered to the site and ensures goods are received in the correct quantity and in good condition.
  • Distribute RUTF to SAM children care givers
  • Keep proper records of all stock in and out
  • Keep Stock cards always updated.
  • Provides weekly and monthly reports to the related supervisor.
  • General:

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Non-negotiable
  • Having professional diploma in pharmacy
  • At least two years’ work experience in pharmacy roles.
  • Mastery of Dari language and familiarity with English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work and deal successfully in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong interest in health and well-being of all members of society
  • Decent, respectable appearance
  • Honest and hard-working, even without direct supervision
  • Problem solving skills.
