Job Description

Promote Effective Partnerships:

  • Collaborate with partnership team and technical coordinators to proactively identify partnerships with local and national organizations, including women-led organizations.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with CSOs and project staff in the field to ensure partnership principles are applied and met.
  • Maintaining relationships with relevant staff from partners and projects through regular meetings and outreach; identifying, co-creating, and implementing opportunities for partnership/collaboration to achieve respective project goals; and measuring and documenting results.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and IRC staff to constructively resolve any issues and be proactive in helping partners overcome any operational challenges.
  • Provide proper representation in clusters and networks meetings at the implementation locations level.
  • Follow up with partners regarding the project implementation reports, ensure that partners are aware of the reporting deadline, and review the reports upon receiving them.
  • In coordination with the Partnership Manager, lead partners' due diligence process based on IRC PEER's instructions and update the filling system accordingly. 

Partner Support in project implementation:

  • Support the structuring of partnerships to ensure they have clearly defined, mutually beneficial goals aligned with the project’s strategic objectives.
  • Support specific projects in all the implementation phases to meet the project outputs and outcomes and support reviewing the partnership agreement goals and targets.
  • Support documentation of potential and current partnerships, communication, activities, outcomes, results, etc., as needed.
  • Assist partners with understanding IRC required policies and procedures as per the sub-grant agreement for the assigned projects
  • Support monitoring, evaluating, and reporting the effectiveness of IRC partnerships in collaboration with the partnership team
  • Visit partners’ offices and conduct a simple check of project documents (financial and narrative, including the support documents) to ensure consistency in partner report.
  • Based on the visit’s outputs, facilitate timely action by the IRC to address any areas of non-performance as they arise.
  • Coordinate the training for partners on issues related to resource mobilization.
  • Support the overall outputs of the Grant & Partnership department as per requests from their supervisor.
 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree holder or equivalent in education, business, or another relevant discipline, with preference for candidates possessing a master’s degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of working experience in partnership management in the development and humanitarian sectors.
  • Good communicator with strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, Pashto, and Dari
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures but also use own initiative, meet deadlines, and work independently and cooperatively with team members
  • Strong relationship development and consensus building skills with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and circumstances
  • Ability to mentor and build partners’ capacity
  • Willingness to travel
  • Prior knowledge of donor compliance regulations (OFDA, USAID, ECHO, FCDO, SIDA, UNs and etc) is desirable
