About Coordination of Rehabilitation and Development Services for Afghanistan (CRDSA )

Coordination of Rehabilitation and Development Services for Afghanistan (CRDSA) is a not-for-profit, non- sectarian and non-political humanitarian organization that was established in 2002 by a team of Afghan volunteers interested in serving afghan vulnerable people. CRDSA is providing services for Afghan people in sectors of Sustainable Livelihoods, Civil Society Strengthening, Returnees/IDPs Re-integration and Protection and Human Rights Promotion. Presently, CRDSA is operating in 7 provinces of Afghanistan including Herat, Kabul, Farah, Ghor, Nimrooz, urozgan and Badghis.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct community surveys and evaluations case findings and sharing the input with regarding children on the move
  • Sharing the find cases immediately with supervisor and starting the formal documentation process for case
  • Establish long-term relationships with the community by holding regular meetings and informal discussions to identify and resolve the needs and concerns of children.
  • Assist community members and elders in forming a (CBCPM) to track and promote child protection activities in the community especially those involving children on the move.
  • He/ She is responsible for investigating any allegations of child abuse endangerment neglect or other circumstances in which a child or children may not be safe in a current living situation
  • Collaborate with community members to recognize children needs develop a work plan and ensure that the child protection program and CDC members are supported.
  • Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with provincial/district and other organization personnel
  • Ensuring the transparency in material/cash distribution and keeping their records transparently and in accurate manner
  • Organize campaigns and trainings to raise awareness of child rights
  • Arranging sessions meetings with children and their families to help all members of the provincial Child Protection team improve their capacity in organizing and executing Child Protection activities and conducting relevant trainings if required.
  • Prepare training materials and services as required with the help of the Project Manager other employees and Provincial Child Protection Officers.
  • Building positive working relationships with communities local authorities CPAN representatives community leaders parents and vulnerable children especially those on the move.
  • Observing and tracking protection risks and raising awareness in accordance with UNICEF case management protocols.
  • Work with groups to manage cases and raise awareness.
  • Collection of field data as per project manger’s or protection officers’ request and demand
  • Submitting daily and weekly reports to the direct supervisor
  • Keep track of any visits phone calls or emails from other project personnel or community members seeking assistance.
  • Ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the activity plan and the projects goals.
  • Facilitate conferences meetings and any other programs as required by the project and creating weekly schedule and plan for his/her activities and sharing with project manager in Advance
  • Ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the weekly schedule and the projects goals and sharing the problems experiences and other information with project manager.
 

Job Requirements

  • High school graduation (Bachelor Degree is preferable)
  • One year of similar working experience in Child Protection with I/NGOs.
  • Experiences with working with child protection programs with national and or international NGOs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening skills
  • Ability to allocate and review priorities to meet the deadlines Ability to identify problems ad resolutions
  •  Able to work independently with little supervision, reliable, trustworthy, and committed to team’s success
