International Medical Corps (IMC) is a global humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief programs. IMC is carrying out medical relief services in several provinces of Afghanistan.
Project Background
Afghanistan Nutrition projects are aligned with the country strategy, cluster, and donor priorities and HRP process with main aim to save lives, alleviate human suffering and reduce the impact of disasters by helping people in need become more independent.
Job Purpose
The Nutrition intern will support the implementation and monitoring of all preventive and curative nutrition program activities under the current projects in line with IMC nutrition minimum standards as well as aligning programming to the national IMAM guidelines and minimum package of essential MIYCN services for Afghanistan.
He/she will work with nutrition officers and nutrition staff within the provincial level in East region and act as back up staff for nutrition officers when on leave.
