The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) is a member-based solidarity organization that has been working in support and solidarity with the Afghan people for more than 35 years. The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) has a zero tolerance of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) both within the organization and of beneficiaries. Prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is the individual and collective responsibility of all NAC officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers, who are all required to familiarize themselves with, agree to, and act in accordance with NAC’s Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy, at all times – both during and outside working hours – and participate actively in introductory and refresher trainings. Any breaches of PSEAH clauses in NAC’s policies, guidelines, and/or commitments will lead to immediate termination and possible legal actions.

Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement all relevant agricultural and livelihood activities at field level such as supporting SHGs, Vocational training for women, Kitchen gardening, supporting female lead farmers and foster mum according to the technical standards and yearly plan of operation (YPO) in Ghazni province.
  • Follow up the Female lead Farmer activities and technically support them.
  • Participation in the regular meeting with other field staffs in case of any technical problem and take immediate action.
  • Provide field level information required for preparation report.
  • Participation in annual work plan and narrative budget for the food security/NRM and livelihood activities.
  • Regularly supervision from all relevant activities, collect data, document, preparation of short and long stories updates and report achievements.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly report and assist with direct supervisor during the preparation of quarterly and yearly report.
  • Close cooperation with other NRM staffs.
  • Inform the direct supervisor in case of any technical and social problem in the project.
  • Close coordination with other NAC’s sections.
  • Arrange the documentation and filing system of all relevant project documents.
  • Participate in project feasibility surveys where NAC plan to start work in the areas of food security and NRM.
  • Ensuing the quality of food security and NRM activities through site visits.
  • Travel to the project areas where NAC has operation.
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Language requirements, if any:

  •  Pashto and Dari are the must
  • English is preferable

Qualifications Required:

  • The candidate should be graduated from agriculture faculty.

Work Experience:

  • The candidate should have One-year relevant experience

Skills:

  • To familiar with MS. Office programs
  • To familiar with copier and scanner machines
  • To have good communication skills
  • To have good conflict resolution skills
  • To have good team work

Justification:

  • NAC implements different female activities in the rural areas and based on the context here is need to hire a female staff.
