Under the direct supervision of the (National level) Durable Solutions Coordinator, and in coordination with IOM Regional Coordinators, Heads of Sub Office, and program leads, the Durable Solutions Coordination Officer will lead external Durable Solutions coordination for Internally displaced person (IDPs) and returnees, at area / regional levels, in Afghanistan. The postholder will also support in internally enabling programmatic convergence towards Solutions outcomes in the assigned region.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
Lead the Regional Durable Solutions Working Group; convening relevant UN and NGOs, participate in the establishment of ToR, membership expectations and chairing arrangements.
Education
Master’s degree in International relations, Political Science, Business or Public Administration, Humanitarian Affairs, Conflict Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience, or
University Degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
