Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE

This position is to look after Vocational training/skill development, Market Linkages and Program support on procurement, logistics, trainings/workshops/conferences, exposure, etc both at/for national and regional levels.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively and on need support and initiate Market linkages and promotions of marketable surplus products of the regions, develop market-based information, extension and knowledge for the staff and clients through the regions or directly- identify the product-market mix for different products and develop market linkage plans through different channels like- retail, wholesale, institutional, exhibitions, exports, etc. Support regions on different training leading to design development, sales & marketing, product & market promotions, developing packaging and standardization, etc.
  • Support the regions on identification of market led Vocations/skill requirements and facilitate if required training/resource persons, institutions, curriculum etc. Support the regions on job/self-placement of the trainees while advocating for accreditation by the relevant Government department/ministry.
  • Support on M&E work of MDP internally and develop/produce reports on this information on a regular basis for sharing with relevant quarters.
  • Support Regions/NPO on procurement and facilitate arrangements and other logistics for exposure, trainings, workshops, conferences/other events and all aspects related to administration.
  • Support on timely provision of regular relevant data collection, Data analysis, prepare periodical project reports as per donor /AKF requirement.
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of the reporting systems for preparing project reports as per the Donor formats/requirements.
  • To carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects AKFs commitment to protecting children in accordance with child safeguarding policy.

OCCASIONAL SIGNIFICANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Any other relevant responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
  • Travel to AKF program provinces to work with the provincial field staff.
  • Attending regional or international workshops or conferences.

DECISION-MAKING & AUTHORITY

  • As and when delegated by supervisor.

Job Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Minimum Graduate in Economics, Business Administration, International Development or relevant field with 5 years’ experience or master’s in economics, Business Administration, International Development, or relevant field with 2 years’ experience.
  • Excellent understanding of skill development [need analysis, trainings], job markets and Market Linkages of VT graduates.
  • An ability to organize own workload and work without constant supervision essential.
  • Experience of organizing /participating Exhibitions/Fairs for products & services.
  • Experiences on facilitating/supporting Vocational Training and job-placement.
  • Good in report writing and English Language Skills.
  • Experience and/or a good knowledge of M&E.
