Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Aga Khan Foundation Afghanistan is seeking for a Finance Coordinator to provide quality and support over functionalities associated to treasury unit in finance. S/he needs to work closely with the head of treasury, team and coordinate the administrative and financial functions relating the unit.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accuracy and data entry in ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Perform bank reconciliation.
  • Preparation of local staff monthly salary sheets.
  • Preparation of contractor payment schedule.
  • Support national manager accounts & head of treasury in internal audit assignments.
  • Support national manager accounts & head of treasury in annual audit.
  • Support national manager accounts & head of treasury in grants/ project audit assignments.
  • Preparing monthly schedules of assets and liabilities.
  • Support National manager accounts in month end closing entries.
  • Processing of month end/ quarter end grants adjustments.
  • Liaise with regional offices in matters data entry and month end schedules of assets & liabilities.
  • To carry out responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects AKF’s commitment to protecting children and vulnerable adults in accordance with the Safeguarding Policy and Child Safeguarding Policy.
  • To report any suspicions or actual violations of the Safeguarding Policy and and/or Child Safeguarding Policy as per the given training.

  • Any other tasks relevant to the core duties & responsibilities of this position, as assigned by his/her supervisor.

Job Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Minimum bachelor’s level on relevant field. Certified professional accountant or part qualifies will be preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience of a position with similar roles and responsibilities. Female candidates with 3 – 4 years of work experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft excel, audit background, Excellent interpersonal skills, client oriented, detailed, proven successful capacity building / coaching experience, proven ability to perform well in stressful situation (e.g. with deadlines, etc), quality oriented, proven ability to work independently & in teams.
  • Excellent command in English orally and in written. Dari and Pushto are added advantage. Familiar with MS office application and finance / accounting software, preferably.

 

REQUIRED CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft excel with audit background.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, client oriented with attention to detail.
  • Proven successful capacity building / coaching experience.
  • Ability to perform well in stressful situation (e.g. with deadlines, etc).
