The Aga Khan Foundation, Afghanistan (AKF (Afg)) is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), a group of international, private, non-denominational development agencies working to improve living conditions and opportunities for people in some of the poorest parts of the developing world. The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is a non-denominational international development agency established in 1967 by His Highness the Aga Khan. Its mission is to develop and promote creative solutions to problems that impede social development, primarily in Asia and East Africa. Created as a private, non-profit foundation under Swiss law, it has branches and independent affiliates in 19 countries.

In Afghanistan, AKF works with rural communities in mountainous, remote or resource poor areas to improve quality of life in the areas of natural resource management, market development, governance, education, and health.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The incumbent in this position is responsible for coordinating with the regions and sectoral units contributing to the thorough communication on the project objectives, plans and implementation. In addition, S/he will contribute to preparation of the reports, case studies, and maintaining the output level monitoring data.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the line-manager in keeping regular communication with the field team with respect to the matters concerning AFS led projects.
• Assist the line-manager in data analysis, field work coordination and data management.
• Facilitate the consultation meeting between the National Office departments and regional offices.
• Organize meetings, workshops, and training and facilitate them for the relevant project staff.
• Represent the project in meetings with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders and prepare minutes of the meetings and record them.
• Work with relevant units to collect and compile all available data and information on the status of the key issues and findings and present them as required.
• Assist the line-manager in keeping regular communication with the field team with respect to the matters concerning AFS led projects.
• Perform administrative tasks such as support logistics (e.g., procurement of good and services, visits, travels, etc.).
• Contribute and support the design of baseline, and end-line studies as proposed in the project proposal.
• Develop and maintain databases of all technical reports, presentations, maps, data and information, pictures produced by the project team.
• Provide inputs to communications products, materials, and campaigns to ensure accurate information of the project when required.
• Monitor and update monthly financial report and progress report to line manager.
• Monitor project expenditure and contract/ agreements on the project implementation.
• Ensure a high level of integration with other AKF sectors and Subsectors and other Sector activities.
• Carry out the role and responsibilities in a way which reflects AKF’s commitment to Safeguarding Policy.
• To carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects AKF’s commitment to protecting children in accordance with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
OCCASIONAL SIGNIFICANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support and coordinate in the implementation of project activities that has high relevance and integration with AFS projects.
• Contribute to / and coordinate the proposal development dissemination of monitoring and evaluation findings across programs.
• Perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
