People’s Action for change is a not for profit, non-governmental organization with a mission to work with the poor, excluded and marginalized sections of the society by empowering them to lead a life with dignity. PACo priority objectives includes empowerment of people through community organization and capacity development, promoting rights of women and children, ensuring livelihood options to end hunger and food insecurity and respond to calamities and conflicts through humanitarian assistance. PACo strategically expanding its program and intervention to support most vulnerable population to Qushtepa district of Jawzjan provinces, with focusing vulnerable women headed households. For implementing planned intervention which will be focusing on lifesaving through humanitarian response on improving participating household nutrition and household income. Thus, PACo, planned to recruit monitoring and evaluation officer considering the conditions and requirement state in this announcement. Job Description

The Monitoring & Evaluation officer will be responsible for regular monitoring of the project activities in the field to ensure the activities are implemented according to the detailed implementation plan, the process followed and the input distribution made in effective manner.  He/she record the data, analyze and prepare monitoring reports. The Monitoring & Evaluation officer will help and support internal and external monitoring visits / missions and will provide regular updates to the management. Besides, he/she will lead and or assist any data collection process, PDM and assessment carrying out in field.

Major Duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular monitoring visit from the activities in child center, villages and other activities to collect qualitative and quantitative data
  • Identify, follow up  and share the lesson learnt from the activities and incorporate them to the project implementation
  • Orient team on beneficiary survey, data collection and Kobo toolbox.
  • Develop and submit regular monitoring reports in prescribed formats
  • Ensure the implementation of organization monitoring and evaluation frame-work and other policies being used in all aspect of the M&E activities
  • Prepare regular reports on activities progress, identify weaknesses and assist the team members in the field.
  • Work in close coordination with the other team members in the field
  • Contribute to the assessments conducted by the organization in the field
  • Ensure the implementation of AAP policy as well as PACo’s CRM function
  • Lead the PDM process and develop PDM report
  • Perform any other activity that the supervisor may deem necessary

Coordination with stakeholder.

  • Ensure a close coordination with Project management team, plan visit and survey and assessment in coordination with project manager
  • Attend community and provincial level meeting, observe and ensure the planned process and inputs delivery made based on planned project and estimated inputs
  • Monitor the distribution process, conduct interview and collect case study form project benefiting participants

  Other

  • Carry out any other work and activities assigned by the management
  • Assist and oversee the procurement process
  • This JD is subject to change based on project social mobilization and implementation need.
 

Job Requirements

  • Must have university degree (Bachelor) in management, engineering, agriculture, Social Sciences or related fields
  • Able to work in hard to reach areas and stay
  • Have work experience in development projected or humanitarian projects is preferred.
  • Able to work to work and stay in Qushtepa districts of Jawzjan province
  • Computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel is mandatory).
    Must know English and have fluency in report writing
