Job Description

Generic Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
  2. Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action
  3. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
  4. Ensure proper filing of documents
  5. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist
  6. Development of holistic and needs based programs, including cash-based interventions and marked based programs
  7. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Support in planning and maintaining M&E Systems.
  2. Support M&E section in coordination process to establish program level M&E systems.
  3. Help the team in working on the M&E planning and providing support in planning the M&E annual work plan as needed.
  4. Contribute to the project data collection, entry and management system through tablets and KoBo collect and documentation of the filing.
  5. Perform data collection and apply M&E tools in actual data collection, as needed.
  6. Support the core competencies in baseline surveys and PDMs.
  7. Support in data management and development of clear information flow between program and M&E staff, as needed.
  8. Support report monitoring data in a timely manner to the M&E officer.
  9. Support M&E with data collection, analysis and report writing.
  10. Support in M&E related tasks whenever required.
  11. Ensure the inclusion of cash-based interventions and marked based programmes in country and area-based strategies and their implementation across and within NRC’s core competencies
  12. Provide an enabling environment for the implementation of cash-based interventions, including multi-purpose cash assistance, emergency cash responses
  13. Come up with new initiatives, should these arise during the employment period.
  14. Other activities agreed and discussed with the M&E officer and M&E Department.
  15. Any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
 

Job Requirements

Generic Professional Competencies:

  1. No prior experience is required, but fresh university graduated
  2. Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  3. Knowledge of English and computer  

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:

  1. University degree (fresh graduate) in social science, economics, rural development or in other related fields – but preferably computer science.
  2. Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge to diverse audiences through training, mentoring and other formal and non-formal methods
  3. English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)
  4. Fluency in Dari and Pashtu
  5. Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  6. Being familiar with digital data collection platforms (KoBo, CommCare, Ona)
