Job Description

SCOPE OF WORK:

 

The Midwife works at Kod-e-barq 50 bed Hospital to predominantly deliver curative, preventive services to the patients. She/he assumes responsibility and accountability for her/his practice, applying up to date knowledge and skills in caring out and supporting each patient and family to meet their needs.

 

 

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:

 

    • Provide curative services to the patients according to hospital requirement.
    • Collect data regarding health status of in and out-patients of the hospital.
    • Implement all reproductive standards in the relevant field to the midwifery.
    • Adhere to all hygiene and prevention practices through service provision.
    • Provide practical and theoretical midwifery training course to the midwifery students as required.
    • Participate in any relevant meeting and in house training relevant to the field.
    • Improve and raise the capacity and knowledge of hospital staff in relation to health guidelines and professional health activities.
    • Perform all other official duties that are assigned by the hospital management team

 

Safeguarding policy for Staff:

 

    • Respect and follow International Medical Corps Safeguarding policy and never neglect, abuse, harm and exploit children, young people, and adult at risk,
    • Report any actual or suspicious harm to the children and vulnerable adult caused by staff and program.

 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

    • Graduated from Midwifery department of recognized institute
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
    • Proven ability to effectively work across teams and with support teams.
    • High level of oral communication to local languages
    • Will be responsible to provide required report in timely manners.
    • Good coordination, networking, inter-personal and relationship building skills, and diplomacy.
    • Attitudes and aptitude aligned with the positions are essential.
    • Good communication and liaison skills with community and all staffs.
