Job Description

Job Purpose

Under the direction of the Sr. CP Program Manager and in coordination with subordinate staff will be responsible for implementing Save the Children’s MHPSS activities, including individual and group counselling sessions. This post holder will be responsible for providing MHPSS counsellors with technical and administrative support. 

Key Accountabilities
1.    Successfully complete MHPSS counsellor training (1-year programme).
2.    Coordinate with MHPSS counsellor training program provider to facilitate ongoing support and supervision of MHPSS counsellors. 
3.    Provide support to the community stakeholders such as CPANs, CBCPN, and school-based groups including student council and PTSA.
4.    Conduct trainings for the project and partner staff and build their capacities according to the capacity gaps assessment key findings.
5.    Providing mentoring support to the project and partner staff in place and make a plan for their improvement according to the findings of monitoring.
6.    Provide technical supervision and support of field staff and (relevant partners) staff through regular contact, including one-on-one supervision meetings and field visits.
7.    Support to partner in establishment of community centre in coordination with centre facilitator and coordination of MHPSS activity implementation. 
8.    Monitor the community centres’ MHPSS activities and efforts and ensure CBCPNs are providing appropriate support. 
9.    To support partners to conduct various trainings and sessions for the CBCPNs, children groups, centre facilitators, parents, Employers, student’s councils and PTSA.
10.    Regular visit to the assigned location to participate and facilitate CBCPNs monthly meetings and any ad hoc meetings as needed in coordination with the Child Protection Officer.
11.    To participate and support facilitation of monthly DCPAN meetings at the district level in coordination with the Child Protection Officer. 
12.    Initiate community dialogues to expend community awareness and understanding of MHPSS and positive coping strategies, as well as early childhood development. 
13.    Support facilitation of induction meetings with families, teachers, community, and other stakeholders to establish children group in coordination with Child Protection Officers.
14.    Referral of youth to vocational/ apprenticeship opportunities based on their interest and abilities.
15.    Referral of children and families in need of specialized services, including case management. 
16.    Facilitate the distribution of materials and kits as required, as well as community awareness on how to utilize resources included. 
17.     Compile and generate the training reports conducted in provinces.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 

•    Previous experience working on MHPSS, child protection.
•    Good Oral and Written English Skills
•    Proven Computer skills in Word, Excel and other MS Office software
•    Proven Administration skills
•    Ability to travel within project coverage districts & other provinces as needed
•    University degree in psychology from recognized university/ institute 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Essential
•    Experience Training, facilitation, community mobilization, implementation with local partner on MHPSS and or child protection. 

Desirable
Understanding of local languages and customs
