Job Description

SCOPE OF WORK:

 

The MD specialist works at Kod-e-barq 50 bed Hospital to predominantly deliver curative, preventive services to patients. She/he assumes responsibility and accountability for their practice, applying up to date knowledge and skills in caring for each patient and family.

 

 

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Visit and provide curative services to inpatients according to the hospital requirement
  2. Obtain specialized assistance as necessary (consultation or referral).
  3. Provide advice to patients of other services as requested during official and on duty hours.
  4. Provide advice and arrange the treatment of new patients during official hours and after the visit.
  5. Implement the medical services according to the list and guidelines prepared by the office administration.
  6. Provide advice to young doctors in the treatment of urgent and mixed patients who visit the hospital during non-official hours until they are fully recovered.
  7. Cooperate in accurate collection of health information using existing guidelines and forms
  8. Actively participate in the design and implementation of various in-service trainings for staff within the hospital.
  9. Responsible for raising the level of professional knowledge of young doctors, especially in relation to health guidelines and professional activities, through the organization of various trainings and seminars at the hospital level.
  10. Monitor the implementation of rules, regulations and standards of hospital in the relevant fields.
  11. Responsible for the entire hospital during non-official hours on days when assigned night duty and perform duties according to the duty list.
  12. Treat patients and clients with good and friendly attitude.
  13. Observe the medical uniform during official hours inside the hospital.
  14. Pursue the implementation and strict adherence to the standards set in the relevant department.
  15. Actively participate in the quarterly evaluation of the standards set in the relevant department.
  16. Participate in the preparation of the standards’ work plan according to the quarterly evaluation and follow-up of the prepared work plan.

 

 

 

  1. Having up-to-date professional knowledge and skills according to global standards in terms of diagnosing and treating patients.
  2. Treat and counsel for emergency and complicated cases with other MDs during the official time.
  3. Perform limited and selective administrative duties such as patient charting, recording etc.
  4. Identify and report immediately any suspected epidemic cases.
  5. Participate any relevant meeting and training.
  6. Perform any other tasks as assigned by the hospital management.

Safeguarding policy for Staff:

 

  • Respect and follow International Medical Corps Safeguarding policy and never neglect, abuse, harm and exploit children, young people, and adult at risk,
  • Report any actual or suspicious harm to the children and vulnerable adult caused by staff and program.

 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

    • Graduated from recognized university as MD.
    • Specialization degree attested by MoPH
    • Minimum 2 – 3 years of relevant working experience.
    • Good coordination, networking, inter-personal and relationship building skills, and diplomacy.
    • Written and spoken English is a plus.
    • Will be responsible to provide required report in timely manners.
    • Attitudes and aptitude aligned with the positions are essential.
    • Good communication and liaison skills with community and all staffs.
    • Flexibility is requested regarding the working hours and the live-in community after the working hours.
