Job Description

About OCCD:

Organization for Community Coordination and Development (OCCD) established and registered with Ministry of Economy in 2013, is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political and independent organization. OCCD works in partnership with Government, development and implementing partners in Health, Education, Agriculture and Livestock, Research and Development

M&E/Data Entry Assistant will be responsible in assisting the M&E field team in data management, including regular data collection and data entry. The primary duties include, sorting and entering the existing and newly generated data into the EIE database, ensuring management and maintenance of an effective filing system.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Cross checking the completed events supportive documents against the activity tracker and calendar.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents (hard copy and M&E database).
  • Generate data reports from the M&E database and perform backups in M&E shared drive to ensure data preservation
  • Checking the quality of data regularly; reviewing softcopies of data to ensure quality and reliability within existence data. This includes spelling errors, missing fields, inappropriate answers to questions, etc.
  • Identifying and reporting on data quality as received from the field Requesting the review and/or resubmission of inaccurate or unacceptable data
  • Submits accurate and proper monitoring, supervision, training, observation, and other relevant reports to the project supervisor in timely manner.
  • Assists the Project Manager in the development of the final versions of various reports

Accountability:

Ensure that you work to the best of your ability and demonstrate high levels of commitment to OCCD in order to ensure the objectives of your role and the program are met.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, management or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the demands of high-speed and high-quality data management.
  • Prior experience working with data for use with monitoring, evaluation, and/or surveys.
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work well with a wide range of players including local project staff, international staff, government officials, and local education implementers.
  • Proven ability to respond quickly to rapidly changing environment and to work comfortably in an often-unstable security environment.
  • Assist the Project Manager in development of M&E operational plan.
  • Having the technical skills of database handling and management.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in Dari, Pashto and English languages.
  • He/she should know the context of Kandahar province.

Note:- There is a three months of probationary period for all staff, Incase the employee fails to fulfill the requirements or completion of given tasks during this period OCCD can end his/her contract immediately.
