Job Description

The M&E Manager will be working in the southern region to monitor, and supervise KRO projects. S/he has the overall responsibility for the monitoring, supervision, and evaluation of the project and will have to visit the field regularly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Adapt tools and methodology to evaluate the projects
  2. Manage third-party monitoring component of activity, including data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting, and staff training
  3. Assist the project managers in developing work plans
  4. Conduct assessments and studies of project impact
  5. Collect data from all areas of ongoing projects
  6. Collect data from the identified areas for data analysis for upcoming projects
  7. Provide timely evidence-based reports in line with the project activities, with a focus on donor requirements
  8. Develop M&E frameworks for the projects.
  9. Ensure that M&E findings are reflected and their recommendations are incorporated in future proposals
  10. Conduct baseline surveys followed by periodic surveys to track progress
  11. Track project progress in terms of outputs against targets on a quarterly and annual basis and
  12. prepare progress reports and action plans based on findings
  13. Consult regularly with the project manager/department head on the process of data collection
  14. Participate in internal and external program/project coordination meetings as required
  15. Keep records of any visits, phone calls or emails used when collecting evidence.
  16. Provide supportive supervision and on-the-job training to regional M&E officers
  17. Ensure that all activities are implemented according to the monthly activity plan and in line with the project objectives.
  18. Any other tasks assigned by the regional director
 

Job Requirements

University degree in a relevant field

Three years prior experience in monitoring and evaluation, survey implementation

Excellent analytical ability

Familiarity with evaluation methodologies preferred

Experience in report writing, Data management/analysis skills

Fluency in written and oral communication skills (English and local languages)
