Job Description

ASLO is an Afghan non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and non-partisan organization and has the status of legal entity. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013.

ASLO is Currently working in the Following sectors in Afghanistan:

•          Humanitarian aid

•          Agriculture and livestock.

•          Wash and Sanitation

•          Health& nutrition

•          Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)

•          Education

•          Rural development and social protection.

•          Child protection

•          Research and Survey project performance and evaluation, training and capacity development,

•          Gender equality/equity.

•          Food security

•          Emergency response and supporting refugees and IDPs and returnees,

•          Legal Aid and access to justice

 

Job Description:

  1. Training the Master Trainers/Trainers/Supervisors and other project-related staff in:

(a) Planning and Scheduling for training.

(b) Organizing a training workshop (logistics, finances, venue, refreshment, etc).

(c) Preparing/designing the training materials and their use.

(d) Pre and post evaluation of the trainees for each training and reporting the synthesis of this exercise to the Project Officer and through PO to the Project Manager.

(e) Preparing model lessons, model lesson plans, and their hand out outs.

2- Training the targeted trainees in methodology and other training packages specified for the project.

  1. Be available in the partner training session to ensure partners trainers are supported, training is relevant, needs-based, and well organized, good training methods are implemented and trainees are satisfied.
  2. Collect data on the training and impacts of the training.
  3. Filing the records of ASLO training and writing reports on the activities he/she conducts.
  4. Preparing/compiling individual training manuals for each training package mentioned below.
  5. Learning about new training areas and training contents needed for the CBE, ALP, and other related programs.
  6. Support the provincial education team and project Manager in any technical issues where they need.
  7. Regularly visits the CBE and ALP classes whether the training contents are being implemented in the school/class/community environment to gauge the impact of the training delivered.
  8. Perform any other project activity assigned by the provincial Manager.

 

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in capacity building as a trainer
  • Good knowledge of adult learning methods and different training techniques
  • Strong Facilitation skills; ability to present information effectively to various audiences, large and small; and sound computer skills
  • Able to provide reports on/before its due time and upon any further request by the immediate supervisor(s)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dari/Pashto and strong English
  • Good computer skills, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Be able to travel to the mentioned districts Respect of confidentiality and sense of security.
