The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) has been working in Afghanistan since 1982, presently managing development Programs concerning Health, Education, Rural Livelihoods and Community Governance, with a total annual budget of roughly USD 40 million. The total number of staff is slightly over 7,386.During the last 10 years SCA has undertaken a change process moving from a primarily humanitarian service delivery approach towards more of a developmental role, putting increasing emphasis on capacity development, rights-based programming, and outcome orientation. The mission of SCA is to empower individuals, communities, and local organizations, primarily in rural areas and with particular focus on women, girls, boys and vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, so that they may participate fully in society and influence their own development. Scope of work:
The Master Trainer (MT) is a technical member of the Education Project team at the Regional Management Offices (RMO) level. In cooperation with the team members, she/he is responsible for capacity building of education program/project’s target beneficiary including school’s teachers, line departments staff’s teacher elected councils shuras, education prog/project staffs with a particular focus on relevant field of study and school management in line with SCA Education Prog/Project policies and guidelines and procedures. He or She is responsible to provide the required assistance to the Education Senior Training officer (STO) in planning, budgeting, monitoring, evaluations, implementation, and reporting to SCA education prog/project related to the activity and he or she needs to spend 85% of his or her time to the field/schools to ensure for improvement of students learning outcome at schools within relevant field through a proper and friendly manner. And inclusively work with target beneficiaries, community, teachers elected council and education staff.
He or she provides training manuals and academic as well as methodical materials for different types of trainings and school’s teacher workshop that is planned to conduct and follow up from trainings already conducted to target groups including school teachers, relevant sector authority, teacher elected councils and school management shuras and etc…
