We are looking for qualified Mapping Experts who will work on a project focusing on mapping and capacity building of NGOs and CSOs in Afghanistan. The experts must have a rich background in survey and mapping in Afghanistan. Please refer to the following duties and responsibilities of the incumbent.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct a mapping of currently operating registered national and local NGOs/CSOs in Afghanistan
• Conduct a literature review of existing data on NGOs and CSOs in Afghanistan
• Design a mapping framework and strategy that will be used to conduct the mapping exercise
• Design a questionnaire and other research tools for the mapping study     
• Determine scales, sizes, and other characteristics of NGOs/CSOs
• Train data collection teams and assist them in conducting the mapping exercise
• Manage and supervise the field team in conducting data collection
• Contribute in cleaning, coding, and analysis of the collected data
• Develop and contribute to report writing of the mapping study
• Undertake any other activities based on needs of the project
