Job Description

  • Responsible for overall BHC team management, reporting, planning and leading other team members (midwife, nurses, and vaccinator) as per their job description;
  • Maintain required quality of care in terms of providing healthcare services to patients (consultation, diagnosis, treatment, referral) and health education;
  • Establishes and maintains good working relations with BPHS /EPHS implementers and concerned stakeholders
  • Share knowledge and expertise with midwives, nurses, and other professional staff concerning their job requirements.
  • Provides and submits reports to the project manager as per project requirements.
  • Follows established policies, procedures and project objectives.
  • Supervises the BHC team activities and provides on-time feedback to staff.

Performs any other official task assigned by the line supervisor

Job Requirements

  • MD from a recognized university in Afghanistan;
  • Confirmation of exit exam completion (mandatory)
  • Local resident is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and coordination skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience in related or similar fields.
  • Fluency in written and spoken local language.

Ability and willingness to stay in rural locations
