Support quality implementation of evidence based instructional strategies for literacy (reading, writing, vocabulary, listening/speaking, information literacy) in all content areas Provide professional learning to teachers in utilizing district approved curriculum and materials. Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records. Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction. Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers. Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others. Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and hand-outs. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions. Keep and monitor records on attendance, class/course/homework
Bachelor in Education, Elementary Teacher certification (reading specialist certification preferred but not required) Training in coaching techniques including data coaching Very Good knowledge of all local languages Possess a deep understanding of literacy development and current research regarding effective literacy instruction Minimum 3 years classroom experience including implementation of reading/writing workshop (balanced literacy) in multiple grade levels Experience with building leadership positions and/or roles (team leader, facilitating collaborative discussion, etc.) Experience collaborating as a member of a Professional Learning Commun
