Job Description

SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The laundry attendant's responsibilities for laundry Office Administrations, include cleaning, pressing, and folding clothes and other textile articles. You should also be able to keep a record of which items belong to whom.

Job Requirements

Laundry Attendant Responsibilities:

Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items.
Performing minor sewing duties.
Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents.
Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment.
Anticipating and responding to customers' queries, concerns, and complaints.
Keeping sufficient tokens or change for the washing and drying machines, if required.
To inform the Laundry Assistant Manager of discrepancies in count and defect in any items prior to washing.
To ensure that all guests washing items are sorted and packed according to the sequence number.
To check for tears and stains after the cleaning process.
To check and ensure that the machines are working in order.
To ensure that laundry area is clean and orderly.
To separate cloths according to color, amount of soil and type of material.
To load and unload washing machines.
To ensure correct weight, formula, temperature and pressure.
To remove all spots and stains before washing using chemical agent.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

You will need to be firm and organized to work in laundry department. Other skills that will help you in the job include:

Good team management skills.
The ability to work in a team and individually.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good attention to detail.
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Knowledge of Computer programs.
Ability to learn quickly, strong self-training readiness.
Good memory of information related the tasks.

A strong customer focus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

12 Grade above
Relevant experience of Laundry Attendant
Fluency in languages: English, Dari and Pashto
