The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) is a member-based solidarity organization that has been working in support and solidarity with the Afghan people for more than 35 years. The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) has a zero tolerance of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) both within the organization and of beneficiaries. Prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is the individual and collective responsibility of all NAC officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers, who are all required to familiarize themselves with, agree to, and act in accordance with NAC’s Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy, at all times – both during and outside working hours – and participate actively in introductory and refresher trainings. Any breaches of PSEAH clauses in NAC’s policies, guidelines, and/or commitments will lead to immediate termination and possible legal actions.

Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring computer systems for malfunctions and errors.
  • Performing maintenance and updates on hardware and software systems as needed.
  • Installing new hardware such as computers, Printers, and other peripherals.
  • Configuring network printers to share in between different departments.
  • Installing routers and Access points locally inside the office
  • Installing and updating software such as MS Office, antivirus, and operating systems.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.
  • Implementing repairs and updates based on diagnostic assessments.
  • Configuring Email outlook and OneDrive for staff
  • Configuring Microsoft Team and training staff when they will need.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting of internet issues locally
  • Keeping and maintaining Computers and IT equipment
  • Monitoring and keeping Mikrotik router up to date
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

Languages Required:

  •  Fluent in Dari, Pashto and English

 

Qualifications Required:

  • At least 2 years’ experience.
  • Bachelor degree (BCS)
  • Ability of hard work.
  • Excellent oral communication skills

 

Work Experience:

  • More than 2 years of relevant work experience

 

Skills:

  • IT Professional Skills
  • Communication skills and knowledge of local communities.
  •  Interpersonal and managerial and conflict resolution skills.
