The ICRC Afghanistan Background:
The ICRC is a neutral, impartial, and independent organization. Its exclusive humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC endeavors to alleviate suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.
Purpose
The HCiD FO will contribute actively to the implementation of all HCiD activities across the delegation, particularly at Kabul level. He/Her will work closely with other members of the HCiD team to ensure all efforts are coordinated and leveraged. A degree of autonomy is expected. As is a capacity to be solutions driven.
The central element of the Strategy is to build respect for and protect the provision of health care. The HCiD FO is responsible for and the focal point for all HCiD matters in which the Ministry of Public Health at Kabul level.
