Job Description

Ensuring 24-hour quality and standard GYN/Obs care and services based on EPHS requirements;
Diagnosing and treating various medical conditions that impact women’s health. These duties include diagnosing and monitoring illnesses and diseases, providing medical support to pregnant women and performing routine check-ups on female patients;
Working closely with expectant mothers to monitor their health throughout pregnancy and while giving birth;
Educating mothers on ways to care for their bodies during pregnancy to ensure a safe and healthy childbirth for both the women and their babies;
Follow up on the care of high-risk and complicated obstetrics and gynaecology cases;
Providing childbirth and postpartum care for new mothers;
Performing life-saving and emergency measures on the patient;
Performing 24 hours of call duty according to schedule when needed;
Ensuring that all procedures relating to infection prevention are followed;
Providing technical support and on-the-job training to midwives in their day-to-day job to ensure the quality of midwifery care to pregnant and lactating months;
Establishing and maintaining good working relations with BPHS /EPHS implementers in the hospitals;
Performing any other related task given by the line supervisor.

Job Requirements

Afghan national.
MD degree and specialization in Gynecology approved by MOPH.
Working experience as a hospital specialist of 1 to 3 years;
Ability and willingness to stay overnight at service delivery;
Fluent in the local language and basic knowledge of English and computer skills;

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and deal successfully in a cultural environment

Skills Required

Strong communication and negotiation skills
