Movement for protection Organization – MPO is an Afghan National, Non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental civil society organization established in 2007, registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as registration # 1016. MPO is working for protection and emergency response education, livelihood and economic development advocacy and peace building.

 

Job Description

Job Descriptions:

  • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
  • Prepare balance sheets
  • Process invoices
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Update internal systems with financial data
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Participate in financial audits
  • Track bank deposits and payments
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Review and implement financial policies
  • Create and implement financial policies to guarantee operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the preparation and planning of budgets.
  • Contribute to financial audits.
  • Monitor all bank deposits and payments.
  • Perform periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve problems.
  • Prepare balance sheets and invoices.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor degree in BBA, MBA, Accounting or relevant field
  • Knowledge of NGO operations
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ specific experience in NGO context is required
  • Knowledge of data collection and reporting
  • Knowledge in writing technical reports is essential
  • Knowledge on Core humanitarian standards and human rights
  • Knowledge on the humanitarian operations
  • Fluency in local language and excellent reporting skill is required
