About Turquoise Mountain:

The Turquoise Mountain Institute for Afghan Arts and Architecture (TMI) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit vocational training institute established in 2006, providing high-quality training across four schools: calligraphy & miniature painting, woodworking, ceramics, and jewellery and gem cutting. The Institute is registered with the Afghan Technical and Vocational Education and Training Independent Authority- TVET-A and is also accredited with City & Guilds, a UK-based vocational training body. The Institute is funded by the Trust but is overseen by its own Board of Directors.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Able to Perform all nursing related tsks, including as bellow.

  • Triage of patients.
  • Able to work in ER (emergency room).
  • Able to take ECGs and familiar with ECG machine.
  • Assist in the surgical procedures as needed.
  • Cover pharmacist responsibilities when he is on leaves.
  • Guide patients to the proper places (exam rooms, laboratory, etc)
  • Assist with the patient's education and implementation of infection prevention strategy.
  • Do weekly check of supplies in emergency room and restock as necessary.
  • Able with checking and documenting patient vital signs coming to FFHC correctly.
  • Able with compiling patients’ files correctly and properly.
  • Maintain sterile techniques, sterilization, cleanliness and sanitation at all time
  • Practice professionalism at all time
  • Ensure good coordination and communication and team work.
  • Perform any other tasks or duties assigned by the FFHC clinic manager in nursing field.
 

Job Requirements

  • 14th Grade Degree in the relevant field.
  • Certified nursing degree from MoPH.
  • 2-3 years of experience in nursing or any other relevant field.
  • Good relational and interpersonal skills
  • A good disposition towards collaboration and teamwork
  • Fluent in written and spoken English or Afghan Local Languages, and a working level of the other is a significant advantage.
  • Be able to work with Computer programs/database.
  • Midwifery experience or Certification will be an asset.
